Magnificent Mesopotamia Hello miniature scribe. Whoa! Don’t click that X or minimize button and go look up and go look up something on Google. Did you know that Mesopotamia was the very first civilization ever? It’s better than you think it is so read these next three paragraphs. It’s so cool you’ll want to live there sort of but not really. Mesopotamian city states, ziggurats and the Tigris and the Euphrates.City states like Ur Uruk and Nippur are city states there are also huge temples called ziggurats they are like temples for the gods and at the very top there is a tent that is were the god so called lives in there city ziggurats also have tons of offices and rooms for people to work in. the Tigris and the Euphrates gave life to the Mesopotamian people they would flood and make the land fertile witch made there crops good and growing. Mesopotamians invented the wheel and irrigation witch helped them water crops with no work at all. Irrigation was the way that the Mesopotamians would water there fields it’s practically a huge tube or small canal that would lead to there houses and crops. Levees were a way that they could control water flow and flood there crops when they wanted to by simply removing a gate and flooding there crops. Isn’t that genius! They would plant and sow there fields and when there was a drought they would take out the gate and let it flood. The other thing that they invented was the wheel its true the Mesopotamians invented the wheel so they could ride chariots in war and get around easier like the Flintstones in there foot powered car. The wheel was a great invention by the Mesopotamians. Mesopotamian daily life in the morning you eat breakfast and go to work 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. do house chores 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. then do business work from 8:15p.m. To 11:00p.m. Then go to bed at 11:45p.m. Then not fall asleep until 3:00 a.m. and wake up at 5:30 a.m. As you see the Mesopotamian life is very busy to keep track of and I’d think frustrating. It would be horrible and terrifying. That’s all for the day but you have to do it all over again tomorrow and the week and forever Well that’s all for Mesopotamia that I know. I hope you liked it. Go look at another person’s paper. Now you can look that stuff up on Google but it has to be about Mesopotamia so you can know a lot more than me go ahead go buy a plane ticket to the Tigris and Euphrates and see what it’s like. I’d never go to ancient Mesopotamia I love Kansas more than Iraq.
